Now ive been playing basketball since 4th grade, and I'm in 9th grade this year im pretty good and I made the jv team and next year ill be playing varsity.Im about 5'6 so I was wondering anybody know how to get a crazy handle like the one like sebastian telfair or stephon marbury back in his prime. I know allthe fundamental drills and my handle is good but I want a crazy handle help me out

You don't need flashy handles to be good.

Not to be Captain Obvious, but practice. But don't get where you do fancy stuff just for the sake of doing it. Nobody likes that dude, unless you'replaying 21s, or girls are watching. Otherwise, that %#@* is annoying. I got all those crossovers, Shamgods, running man (if you do it fast enough you can avoidcarrying), etc. but when I do it, it's a legit move, not just showboating.

But yea, practice. Everytime I used to see a move or shot I didn't have, I'd go right outside to the court or next time I went and not stop until Icould do it with decent success. Then I'd start breaking it out in 21s and whatever, and eventually it'd become so natural it's just part of therepertoire and you don't have to even think about it.

you have to perfect the simple handles to create the crazy handles. You gotta work on your court vision, which will lead to more assists, which is a product ofyour fundamental handle drills

Fam you want a damn special potion or something? The more you work on your handles the better they get.

DatZNasty said it all....figure out the move you want to perfect, then practice it until it is second-nature. Just start implementing it in pick-up games orgames with your boys. I also learned a little trick while playing in high school. I would dribble with knit gloves on. It made the ball slippery. And I have noidea if dribbling with a tennis ball really helps lol.

When you practice dribbling, get out of your comfort zone and push yourself.

Pick up the speed of the drills you're doing. A big part of having good handles is having the speed to compliment them. Especially if you're only5'6. If you're only in 9th grade you'll still grow a little bit more, but as a PG, speed is as much of an asset as handling. Also, work on yourcourt awareness. All that handling will get you nowhere if you can't get teammates the ball. It'll just make you look like a showboat ballhog, andtrust me, people will NOT put up with that no matter how "cool" it looks.

Also, do everything left handed. You dont want to have a favorite hand. Be able to make one-handed passes with your left hand as well as your right. Or theopposite if you happen to be left handed. Most people don't develope that skill enough.

    Good Luck.

Since you only a freshman, that means you aren't driving, so just dribble that ball wherever you go and do challenging stuff wih the rock, get your handsand wrists strong
