U.S. Postal Service to deliver Amazon packages on Sundays Source: http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-amazon-usps-20131109,0,7390545.story#axzz2kJmiHgSl Amazon is serious about continuing making that $$$$ while slowly putting other retailers out of business.I seriously don't see Best Buy staying in business to much longer. From the government and US Post Office perspective. I see this as a way for them to revive & save the US Post. For years we have been hearing about how the US Post Office is bankrupt and is on life support.
Just cancelled my Amazon Prime cus I wasn't trying to pay a yearly fee, thought it was free with .edu
It was free for 6 months, and after that It's half price I think. Still have it, I order a lot from Amazon so that free 2 day shipping is +video streaming.
It definitely was the past few years. I'm thinking something changed in the last year. I took the L and paid $40 more than worth it for me but still going from free to $$ is
that'll be the day when all brick and mortar retail stores close down across the US word to blockbuster. It's inevitable.
LOL @ "............its flexible employee scheduling......." I can already hear my boss. "I need you to work 12 hours today" "But it's my birthday" "Oh well. 12 hours"
This is such a smart move, and honestly, only something that a company like Amazon can make happen. It's a win-win-win situation. Most importantly, USPS gets a boost in revenue/work, which is great for America.
We always get things first, appealed to, I wonder how it feels to be from Smalltown USA ...serious question, do you get offended?
Are you a CCA or PTF or A Regular City Carrier? Got a feeling this will fall on RCAs' as well, smh With the start time of 9:00 now I can only imagine the ish storm if you go over 8hrs on a Sunday..smh
I'm an MHA. My job probably won't be affected much aside from the longer hours on friday or saturday. The post office was careful when they settled on the new Mail Handler position. MHA's don't get sunday premium. Right now I have sundays off but we'll see if that remains.
I got a package delivered on this past Sunday. I was like WTF. Dude just left it on the door. Now I know why.
Not at all. You guys have to go through all of the headaches and initial lapses that any new product or service faces. By the time it gets to us, it is nearly flawless. I'll take a finished product over a beta product any day.
