Any New Mexico Natives?

I have a general question(s) about your state.
I was thinking about eventually moving there and since I have no idea about anything there, I come to you. 

My main concern are the areas. I really just want to know where's a good area/neighborhood/city to live and the cost of living for these areas.

living in Albuquerque now, great city to be in.  Lots of outdoor activities, nice restaraunts, shopping, and excellent high tech jobs.

City can be expensive though regarding housing.

Been here in Silver City for the past 2 years...
