anybody else plays softball for a league?

my first time playing and Im doing good so far.
all guy league, we play every Mon and Wed, 8 teams

we are in Sixth place but its so fun, I wanna play every season.

thinking about purchasing a bat, any ideas?

If you plan on playing softball regularly then u should look into getting a bat.... otherwise it'll be a huge waste of money

haha never thought i would be talking about softball on NT
anyway, we just started our new season last night. have been playing with this group of guys for the last 2 years. (6 seasons)
its slow pitched as well.
advise on getting a bat.... hmm.... get a composite bat.
i bought a new bat at the beginning of last season and it got hot towards the end. it takes time to break it in. the bat i got is called Easton Stealth (slowpitch)
there are 10 bats between the team and i think mine, right now, is in the middle. but once its fully broken in, i think it will be sweet.

also, some if not most guys in our league have "Hot" bats. meaning that their bats have been altered so it will weigh lighter but swing harder. it makes a HUGE difference.
i dont care or want to do that because i play for fun. but try to not get hit by a ball from these bats. i play SS and got hit in the temple. thank god i had my shades on. but it still left lace marks on my face haha.

btw, when i said "Hot"... i meant Shaved/Rolled. you'll learn about that term throughout ur season

play fast pitch sunday league . competition is good, all the games are pretty tough
