Even if you don't care much for Judo, it's a strong clip to watch. You talk about revolutionaries, she's definitely one of them. To work your whole looong loong life to get to a goal of obtaining highest honors is so respectable - and to put it in front of all else is amazing.
Link and video below: but to give a synopsis. Judo leaders would not give her certain levels of black belt, because it had not been previously given to a woman. It took her almost 9 decades to get it. She started with five others with the plan of making women's judo relevant, she ended up as the only one.
