Anyone else a fan of older movies? What are your favorites?

I'm looking to watch some good older films (pre-1960), anyone have any suggestions for movies to watch?
Some of my favorites are

Maltese Falcon

On The Waterfront

Kiss Me Deadly

I understand that this movie is #1 on AFI's Top 100 movies list....but it just never clicked with me.

I get that there were some hidden meanings behind things, metaphorical stuff, but I don't know I never really enjoyed this as much as everyone else.

I like older films more that new ones which ticks my dad off since it's all I get on Netflix.

I wouldnt mind watching those films but I cant stand the old school look on everything

Citizen Kane  was great. Way ahead of it's  time
