both are Royal Caribbean and could be done for about $600...round trip flight would be about $300
we would fly in the day before departure so we could hang out in PR for awhile

anyone ever been to the spots on these itineraries? where you going this summer?

I went on a Carnival Cruise two years ago and i think i will be going on another one this year, i am older and can do more things now, what should i expect? and and listen to bigsupa, YOU WILL EAT WITH THE 24 hour ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET

I've never been on a cruise before, but just the sound of it sounds played out to me like limousines for some reason? *shrug*

Prolly fun though.. Gotta do it at least once in my life.

Cruises are great! especially if your going with a large number of people

Im going in the beginning of August to the Western Caribbean via Carnival Dream (Cozumel, Mexico, Isla Roatan, Belize & Costa Maya, Mexico)

went on my 1st one last year on the Easten Caribbean (Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Maarten)..best vacation by far

beach at St. Maarten was unbelievable

a few things..

-the food ALONE is worth the trip..your gonna put on some pounds though so be careful
laugh.gif
...this time around I will be at the gym/fitness center they have every morning since I'm in shape nowadays

-watch the excursions they offer..if it some sort of beach/tour..you can find better prices by yourself once you get off the port.

-if you are a good poker player, i highly suggest playing at the 1 or 2 cash tables at the casino, same people every time = take their money every time

-you will buy a lot of the professional photos the photographers take every day

we did western last year w/ carnival and had the same itinerary except Costa Maya...we had Grand Cayman instead

do a Victor Bodden private tour in Roatan...they're take you wherever you want it it's not that expensive

make sure they stop at the store so you can guy beer before you go to the beach

get salva vida beer...it can probably be had for around $7 for a 6 pack if i recall correctly...be sure to bring your own bottle opener 'cause they're not twist off

it's a Honduran beer

I haven't been but I heard it's fun. There are a lot of places I wanna visit first before I spend money on a cruise, though.

decided against the PR cruise...maybe another year

just booked this last night:

Monday, Oct 25 NORFOLK, VA 5:00pm

Tuesday, Oct 26 FUN DAY AT SEA

Wednesday, Oct 27 NASSAU, BAHAMAS11:30am

Thursday, Oct 28 NASSAU, BAHAMAS 10:00pm

Friday, Oct 29 FREEPORT, BAHAMAS8:00am3:00pm

Saturday, Oct 30 FUN DAY AT SEA

Sunday, Oct 31 NORFOLK, VA8:00am

$534 per person before taxes...so that's basically $100 per night after taxes and all meals are paid for

Norfolk is driving distance so this route is much cheaper than the PR cruise

who's been to the bahamas? let me know what's up

i'd like to go on one after spring terms over... any recommendations for a college 21 y/o lookin to party? 8D
