Anyway to fix the weakened velcro on my XX's?

i've worn my cdp xx's like 3 times to school.mall etc and i havent experienced this problem. so is this what i have to look forward to for my xx's?

I just rip off the old velcro, buy new, then glue with clear shoe goo, works fine for me.
