ARE GAY PRIDE PARADES OUTDATED?

Its pride parade season again and probably your local city will be bombarded by fairly lewd behavior.

Yeah at first I thought "hey minorities have parades too" but minorities don't prance around and do all the stuff they do at Gay Pride parades.

If and when gay pride parades are outdated, then please make sure to add St Patricks Day, Cinco De Mayo and others to that list. The thing is, there are tons of parades and celebrations that are equally as outdated and useless and are for the money. Gay people aren't exempt from this.

Yeah. I mean, it's pretty much illegal to even have a negative opinion of the lifestyle nowadays, so I think we get their point that they're here and queer. I'm used to it.

They have it every year in Vegas, and the AIDS walk is basically Gay Parade 2.0

We go every year though, it's super fun, and the people are funny!

Why do you think gays need to be taken more seriously and what does "subdued celebrations" have anything to do with it?
What's the difference between any Pride parades? Gay, PR, Dominican, Carnivale, Mardi Gras, etc?
Heavy drinking and "lewd behavior" at all of them...

I have family who are gay. I have friends who are gay. They enjoy their local Pride parades. Let them do them man...

I believe, if there's a big enough demand for any parade that isn't offensive or racist etc...hell....someone should just organize one...who cares really...let people have fun....
