Ok I was looking at the 01 S Type and those are sexy, I see em for great prices, but I know maintenance on em might be a pain, and I hear the X types arelemons. Pretty much I`m looking for something under 8k primarily in the 5-7k range. I dont drive much, just to work and my apartment, and home a few times ayear, so I'd prolly only put 5k-10k of miles on the car per year. I`m 6'3 so I need space too. I was looking at 06 Impalas but I`m not the biggest carenthusiast so could you guys recommend some cars to look at?

Consumer Report is probably your best route.

my parents had a jaguar, it was THE WORST car you could get. their was a transmission problem every couple months, oil leak stupid crap like that. we traded itin for an s500. and the 01 s type was the EXACT car we had. i wouldn't recommend it

Yea man.. the lower model Jags are no good. My biz partner had an Xtype and it had all kinda probs here and there - I'm thinking their higher end stuffgotta be better. But that whip did not build any confidence.

ok I see some of the newer models look good, I`m use to seeing the ones from the 90s. 100-150K on someting from 02-05 on a honda or toyota is good right?

they look nice. but you might as well get a brand new Taurus. that's what Jaguars basically are.

yeah man, i'd go for an 03 or newer 4 door accord they're not bad at all.

for your price range you also might be able to get a good 02-03 Acura TL.. just make sure you do a lot of research and dont just hop in the first whip thatlooks good.

older Jags along with Range Rovers are synonymous with having a lot of mechanical problems when they were both under the Ford Motor Company umbrella but havesince improved. I would stay far away from any Jag from 01-02 years.

You ain't fitting in an S-Type if were 4'2. An Accord's cabin space is way bigger than an S-Type's.
