Are there any Internal Auditors on NT?

Im looking into some opportunities in Internal Audit.  I just wanted to know if anyone on here currently is or has been an Internal Auditor. 

I just wanted to get an honest account of what it's really like.

I know it would differ from company to company, but I have a few general questions.....

ie., how are the hours? is it primarily controls based? is there too much travel? is it much different from public accounting (big 4 firms)?
