the sad thing is, these types of asian attacks probably has been going on forever, but no one ever shined a light on it. Asians, especially immigrants, tend to not report the crimes done to them.
 
For example, look at how this thread just happen to happen right before covid jumped off.

language barrier, fear of authorities, "just want to put my head down and live" mentality but with COVID and really the former president and how all the explicit racism/racist attacks just out in the open and more violent so everyone knows whats really going on. And the younger generation not standing for that BS anymore good on them. Mainstream society couldn't ignore it anymore with COVID blowing it up so much.

and yeah that thread started off ok for about 6 posts then devolved into BS what-aboutisms and folks getting banned for ironically racism.
