Asian NTers Help Me Out, vol. Jasmine Rice

Aight, so I just copped this and a rice cooker, and I'm trying to get some goodness crackin. I got the kimchee in the fridge, but I need to know what aresome good recipes for jasmine rice? I googled it, and the best thing they had for me was some mess with garlic and basil.

I heard of some recipe with coconut milk, but i couldn't find that either when i looked for it.

Help a brother out.
 
I still don't understand what you are trying to do with the rice?

just put the rice in the rice cooker with some water and you should be good

you dont need to do anything to it us asians just like it plain or with some soy sauce

Yeah, I didn't fully understand what kind of entree he was trying to make either.

But you can just cook the rice like NorthWest said and add an entree.

Here's a recipe for Vietnamese grilled pork if you wanna try it.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup soy sauce, ( preferably I use fish sauce. It might be hard to find if you're not at an Asian store.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon anise, freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon stir-fry oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, groun
  • 1 lb pork tenderloin

2. Combine marinade ingredients.
3. Add meat and marinate meat for 1 hour.

i found the recipe with the coconut milk, but i ended up going with the stir fry and rice, since i wasn't trying to get too adventurous with it...

y'all dude come through in the clutch, i sho' 'preciate it...

we just call it rice thats why.....

put raw black beans or peas in the rice cooker along with the rice...see if u like that
thats true korean style rite there
