What's up NT?

I think that the Lock it Ups are soooooo nice i just don't know about the cushioning and traction...

Can anyone shed some thoughts on RBk's new HexRide cushioning? What is it comparable to? Is it like Shox or Bounce or Max Air?

Also is the Traction good on these hex patterned outsoles of Rbk?

i like both of these but i dont wanna bite the bullet as i have already done that with 2 pairs of basketball shoes this year...one panned out but the otherbecame a work shoe.

Issue 8 on kicksometer.com has a review on the Omni HexRides.

They said it's a decent shoe but the cushioning is supposedly pretty firm. That's a bummer for me since I prefer soft cushioning (Jordan XIX) and thisshoe looks pretty cool. Then Lock It Ups look really cool to me.

personally both look like terrible designs
way too much hard plastic used...especially in the ankle n cushioning?
no movement and flexibility in the ankle in the lock em ups will just be uncomfortable and take away from one's game
n plastic shells for cushioning? how does that even make sense?

Let's face it, most of the people here who play ball wear ankle braces anyway, so the Lock It Up ankle looks to take that necessity away. Besides, withoutseeing in person, they may not be a hard plastic, but a rubberized piece with a little added stiffness. And the "plastic shells"? Not so much. Theyare rubber/PU with air inside. There was a definite cushion feel on the pair I tried on. Along the adiprene lines, not a Zoom or old school DMX feel.

k thx for the corrections...but still not buying these things..

I understand completely why too. Reebok has definitely dropped off the market, but they are headed in the right direction for the future. Keep your eyes onthem. The new Hex-Ride has potential.
