Avoiding eBay fees by hiking up shipping fees?

If I sell a pair of shoes, for let's say, $800, can I charge $0.99 for the shoes and $799.01 for shipping, in attempt to prevent eBay from charging their standard 8%? Not an avid eBay user, so chime in resellers. Got some dude hungry for a pair of Jordan IV's that I could do without, and he's offering $800. Trying to get the most out of it as possible.

eBay just takes their % from the total amount the seller pays now so won't matter. Better off messaging the seller and telling them to pay directly through PayPal.

Paypal invoice is the way to go. Ebay will get their share anyway you sell it.
