Best running shoe for big (fat) guys like me?

I just had to return the Nike React Element 55 as it was "too cushiony" for my big butt.

I guess I need something more "sturdy"

Any recommendations?

Ive used New Balance 1080's in the past and had luck with them, but looking for other options.

I'm 5'4", 180 (that's fat), finished several half marathons. Experimented with Nike Lunarglide (for short runs) and NB 991 but now I only run in Asics KAYANOS in any year model I can get for cheap. Cushioning isn't everything. Stability might be more important. Also, not about the brand. Each brand makes a cushioning/stability shoe, but the Kayano works best for me, and they hold up well. Probably on my 8th pair of Kayanos since 2009. Haven't had one come apart on me, and I've used them for trail running, too.

If you're planning on running more than 3 miles I'd recommend going to Road Runner and have them look at your running motion and shoe recommendations, then buy the shoe elsewhere cheaper.
