Dude, I won't make you feel like a loser. It is understandable that your fear the unknown. You didn't grow up in that lifestyle and the most interaction you get from them is seeing them being portrayed and idiots and sex animals on television. I understand, they are people though. Most of them put up a wall of toughness that is just for show. Don't get me wrong, some are really tough and will cuss you out with no regard for human life. But don't show them that you are scared because that is a turnoff to them.
