Black Leather Dye- Help Needed

I need to dye the toe box black on these- I cant stand the brown placement. If anyone knows what product and application technique would work the best your help would be greatly appreciated!
I think I would rather use dye than paint just because a lot of times I have seen paint turn out really shiny and cheap looking
