I'm looking to purchase some bred 1s soon. I've been looking around and both versions - the dmp and strap - can each be had for a little over $100. The straps can be had for a little cheaper than the dmp version.

I remember when the straps dropped people ate 'em up (even after virtually everyone said they were not going to get them). Then, less than a year later, the DMP drop. Not many people bought those.

I plan to purchase the straps and wear them with jeans most, if not all the time. I can foresee some instances where I may throw on a pair of shorts with them. I don't plan on rocking the strap or cutting the leather loop along the heel, btw.

I just really want that signature bred 1 silhouette with the cuff (or not) covering about 48% of the kick.

Does it matter which one I cop?

It doesn't matter what shoe you purchase, but in my opinion... just get the DMP I's.

They look a lot better than the straps. But that's my opinion.

I have both, and I don't know if it's just me, but my DMPs creased real bad!

They both look good but the Strap I's have better quality IMO.. I can really see the difference since I bought the straps and the DMPs

Thanks guys. I decided on the straps. Couldn't pass up the $82 deal.

yea my dmp 1's creased like a mofo also. and imo one of the most uncomfortable shoes ever.
