Does it come preinstalled with the OS you chose or do you have to install that yourself?
you have to install your own OS. i never heard of building a laptop but if you do wait for the intel i5 and i3 to come out.

This. If gaming is a priority .. this wait might be worth it. DirectX 11 and hopefully a two times increase in power.

Its some cheap HP keyboard. I did used a black Dell keyboard. Would match well with the LCD and my case. I switched to the HP because for some reason I typebetter with it

That keyboard posted a page back is insane. Im not in gaming mode right now so I dont see myself upgrading for awhile. Ill just stick with the ancient stuff

Damn, no idea this grew to 3 pages already.

Here is a list of what I plan on purchasing from newegg/micocenter today.
SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102825
Kingston HyperX 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104092

I already have a 500gb internal hard drive, 1Tb external and a 500gb external.

I have an old PC monitor that I'll usefor now but I can always connect it to my 42" flat screen to watch my HD flicks.
laugh.gif

Question: If I install my internal hard drive, which already has Windows XP....will the new mobo recognize that and just start up XP normally? Or will I haveto install a new OS or even go as far as reformatt my HD? I have everything backed up so it wouldn't be an issue.

For what you're putting in that computer, you don't need a 1,000 watt power supply.

You think? It was pretty much recommended. I'll eventually put in some more ram and upgrade in the video card dept, how many watts should I go for then?
