I RECENLTY RE-BOOTED MY COMPUTER.. AND YEAH I LOST EVERYTHING..

BUT ANYWAY WHEN I RE BOOTED I LOST MY LOCAL CONNECTION TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET..

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO TO GET MY LOCAL CONNECTION BACK..

I HAVE A WIRELESS CARD BUT NO ROUTER SO I DONT USE WIRELESS..

try Control Panel> Network & Internet> Network & Sharing Center> Set up a Connection or Network.

Hopefully that'll do it for you.

i bought the thing refurbished so XP was already set up so i never had the problem. but since the reboot its has not been connecting

You just need to install the drivers for the wireless card. Google whatever type of computer you have and it'll list all the hardware or you can usually goto the manufacturer's website and put in the serial number and it'll tell you and give you the link to install it right there
 
what are you using ? XP ?VISTA? Is your wired internet plugged in ? status lite blinking where your LAN is connected? go to START , then RUN . then CMD then type in ipconfig , what does it say ? does it say 0.0.0.0 ?
