Car buying advice: 10grand to spend

03s have failmissions, pretty much every Honda(and Acuras minus the RL) V6 transmission made between 98-03 has an almost 100% chance of breaking

If I went up to approx 15g by financing the last 5... wanted to get it brand new... any advice on what to check out?

He'll have to spend another $5k to get it in "not gonna break down every day" condition.

How much is replacing the VANOS if it goes bad? Prices have come down on those but not that much.

theyll give you around 300k miles
