i have a 2000 lexus es300 and i just got a new transmission last month. a little after the transmission change, i noticed a problem:

normally, when i'm accelerating from 0-60, the car will shift about 3 gears (i think). the RPM needle stays between 1 and 2 up until 40, and then gets upto about 2 - 2.5 when i hit 60mph.
however, recently i noticed that when i accelerate, it'll only shift 2 gears and the engine will be at 3RPM and no matter how fast i go from there, it willnot shift gears and the RPM won't go down.
i know this might not sound too clear, but anyone have any idea?

So you're saying that after it shift into 2nd gear it goes all the way to redline without shifting?

IDK if your car has it but I know some people's acceleration is controlled by a computer chip that adapts to the driver so perhaps it needs tobe reset since you got a new transmission?

btw I ain't no car head but I heard this was a problem for some toyotas
