Then the next time you see her youre like "hey"

They haven't retro-ed this shoe correctly since the '03 version (which had fantastic leather and comfort). The '09 and up retros have all been garbage - I only had one pair of IXs ('Powder Blue') and I sold it quickly after realizing it was overpriced, plastic leather trash.

Now that im older i wear jordans less and less and they have kinda taken a backseat to other more subtle sneakers and runners.
Forgot how much i love air jordans.
probably more than any sneakers ever.

The DonC vid was the best of the "shopping" series.  Being a 40 year old chicago based sneakerhead.  I have alot of the same memories of the shoes relating to Jordan that he did.   It was nice seeing someone who actually knew the history of the shoes as they related to the game.

nike know what they doing by having don c buy two pair of a shoe that drops soon....now the sheep have to have a pair if don c coppe two pair.....and whats up with jb using these dudes to try and make folks give a damn about the maroon 6s...i believe he is the second fool to cop a pair sitting in stores at resell prices because they are cladssic...lol....jb definitely knows what they are doing

Don C didnt buy anything, him being there alone made that store mad money, him paying had to be a front especially since they are in stores still but money doesnt equall smarts so who knows

 

i dont believe he bought them either.....so all them kicks in that store and you pick up nothing but jb and you work with jb..........he is basically advertising them 4s by "copping" 2 pair as well as trying to help get rid of them maroons sitting on shelves........some people just like shoes, but some people like whatever their favorite "celebrities/athletes" like....example anyone who buy a jordan because he wore them.

 

You keep stressing the word "some". You telling me you have no shoes because an athlete wore them?

 

nope....i base all my purchases off of what i like.....never been one to like/want something because so and so had it, but if i see someone wearing something fly that is different because i actually like the look...idk just my mentality i guess...i stressed some because dude had it in bold as well referring to my post.

 

I'm sure there are some ppl that buy shoes strictly based on who's wearing them. But I'm sure most ppl here would agree that if the shoes don't look good most ppl here aren't gonna rock them.

 

It is just another marketing technique. Hair styles, clothes, shoes and just a lifestyle in general can be marketed, to an extent. I wouldn't be surprised if those specific 7 picked were because they are available now or if a retro is due soon/available in secondary markets (such as RiF). There are always a mix of those who will buy because of someone else or if you only follow what you like, but those who do already adopted the shoe culture and aforementioned are usually don't follow shoes too closely.

 

For sum reason I want xivs all ofa sudden....

go to any sig athlete thread and you'll see folks who give a million reasons they dont like a shoe but buy every colorway because they owe their favorite/athlete or something.... its their money but its still ridiculous to me, but im an old head so it probably isnt for me to understand
