*NOTE* Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day are both appreciated, but hear me out.

Anyone else ever feel that Christmas Eve is better than Christmas Day? Here are my reasons.

- Sure, opening gifts is great, but on Christmas Eve, you get to anticipate what you'll be opening the next morning.
- Christmas Eve dinner is too good for words, so I'll just give it a

.
- Chances are you are still with your family the next day, but being together Christmas Eve is so great.

Hate to spoil your christmas spirit, but this didn't deserve a post.

You better turn it into a December/Christmas appreciation and post some pics up asap.

yea i get what ur sayin.....

christmas is pretty much dead in the streets and nobody really throws any parties at all....

christmas eve theres drinking, eating and dancing goin around.....

I'm definitely with you on this one.

I love the holiday season. The shopping, the music, the decorations...

In general, just the anticipation of Christmas.

Once December 25th hits, it's all over.

For me, Decmber 1st - 24th > December 25th.

Yeah, Eve > Day. On Christmas Eve is when the fam gets together and we party until like 3:00 in the morning

That's what I'm saying.

I'll leave the thread title the way it is, but I'm thinking more along the lines of December 1st-24th > December 25th (Christmas Day), likePrurientSole said.

Ahh.... Christmas season appreciation. That's more like it.

I only posted cause I thought this was widely understood. Christmas Eve > christmas day indefinitely. The anticipation, the family, the lights.

Doesn't snow? Is that you Scrooge?

For once, I want New York to have a White Christmas.

Just imagine waking up Christmas morning, as you walk to the tree, and you look outside and it's snowing. A quiet snow at that, no sound in the streets oranything

i hate snow, left the northeast because of it, justpersonal preference i guess

Eve is cool, I like all the TV specials and stuff but morning is better, sitting with the family taking turns opening presents.

I've ALWAYS felt this way. We have a big Christmas Eve party with the fam, and open gifts at midnight.

Christmas Day has always been more laid back, with some nice meals with the immediate family.

Christmas Eve is much appreciated.

there is no christmas eve without christmas...and I think a lot of you are forgetting what christmas REALLY is.

I could never see myself doing that. Even now at 17, I still look forward to waking up Christmas morning and opening gifts with my parents.Opening them at midnight, to me at least, takes away from that feel of "being a kid on Christmas morning".

Honestly, Not too sound like a Grouch, word to Grouch btw, but the spirit is all gone for me, I don't wake up looking forward to the day. Maybe because ofmy family, and its seperations. It ain't the same, I could give a fck less about gifts, just yummy food and fam and get faaded.
But who knows, its 2008 , Christmas might be cool B)
