Cigarettes and shoes

Well might sound stupid but I'm pretty paranoid over my collection of shoes.. Just recently I had to store about 30 pairs of my gems at a friends place due to no more room in my house.. The problem is that he is a smoker.. (Weed and cigarettes) I stacked them up in kitchen area the shoes will be stored there for about 4 days my problem is will this cigarette smoke and weed smoke cause my gems to yellow up? I put a bed sheet over the boxes to where the air holes will be covered.. Do I have to worrie like I am? Lol

not if it's 4 days imo. not sure about yellowing but If you put stuff over them like you said I don't see the smell or anything being a problem in such little time. unless he's like the heaviest smoker in history
