coming to san diego w/ gf this weekend. what to do?

me and my girlfriend are coming to san diego for the weekend and was wondering what are the things to do. what clubs are good at night, where to eat and shop etc. is everything close by each other? i think we are going to get a hotel in the gaslamp district.
