for instance , man or woman gets diagnosed with a disease cancer, aids, cystic fibrosis

hours after his or her diagnosis they are flown to a special lab and the best surgeons

doctors , nutritionist , teachers from india, china, germany, africa, canada, united states

are flown to survey, monitor study and strategize on saving you , with the sole purpose

being keeping the patient alive long enough to gain sufficient data

after a few attempts im sure someones bound to get saved and thus a proper

blueprint can be provided for the disease

Interesting idea. While this concept isn't a reality, the reality is all over the world the best and the brightest are working night and day to cure diseases, and alot do communicate and share information. Sadly some of diseases are some tough SOBs and the answer isn't so easy.

Eventually we will get there. What I see though is the constant mutation of alot of know diseases. Coming back with new strands, adapting to medicine thus having another vaccine having to be created.

In a perfect world we could do something like that. But sadly the health problems of the world out number the resources.

That's what Bill Gates is doing essentially, pooling his $ to eradicate disease and reinvent the way we use nuclear tech....

Watch Bill Gates 2.0 on 60minutes (posted on NT somewhere), Gates broke it down.

* didn't know Buffett gave most of his money to the Gates Foundation (when he's gone).

i watched this, and Bill is definitely doing ALL that he can to make change an should be celebrated.

They'll make an empire out of disease treatment and management. Not the cure though.

crazy how things soooo small and miniscule as viruses can kill us and we were 100000x bigger than them

id say yes. ima biomedical sciences grad student  (in my spare time) the stuff they are doing in science is RIDICULOUS

straight super hero stuff my goodness

I wouldn't bet against it. We're a remarkably innovative species when we're not killing each other.

"Gamers have solved the structure of a retrovirus enzyme whose configuration had stumped scientists for more than a decade. The gamers achieved their discovery by playing Foldit, an online game that allows players to collaborate and compete in predicting the structure of protein molecules.

After scientists repeatedly failed to piece together the structure of a protein-cutting enzyme from an AIDS-like virus, they called in the Foldit players. The scientists challenged the gamers to produce an accurate model of the enzyme. They did it in only three weeks."

I don't want to sound like a hippie but....

Years ago most of these diseases weren't that common if present at all. Now it's an epidemic of everything.
Ask yourself what happened since then and now.

Obviously it has to do with people being more stressed (we have to worry about way more stuff now than back then), people consuming refined products, taking synthetic meds and toxic products (just not living properly) and polluting the environment with chemicals.

Stuff that people aren't willing to give up because it makes their lives easier or has a false sense of accomplishment in their lives.
All we do is consume.
