A dozen devout Christians were nailed to crosses in the Philippines to mark Good Friday. 

Nails were hammered into the hands and feet of the Christians who then spent a few minutes painfully re-enacting Jesus Christ's crucifixion 2000 years ago. 

Mary-Jane Mamangun insisted she felt no pain when the 5cm nails were hammered into her. 

But her grimacing face while on the cross, as well as her direct journey to the medical tent afterwards was given painkillers, told a different story.

I don't get it....
being nailed to the cross was just the given penalty of
being executed by the state. (Intentionally not a end all be all sacrifice.)

If "Jesus's" execution was done in modern times more than likely he would
receive lethal injection or even worse the chair.

That re-enactment prob wouldn't've turn out so well...

Did they have a ring of thorns pressed into their scalp?

And stay there for 3 days.

If you're going to re-enact what we read, then re-enact it.

A partial re-enactment? I could just stand up against the wall right now with my arms stretched out and say I'm also doing a partial re-enactment.

If you're going to try and show you're serious about it, then go for broke.

Or... realize how crazy you look for having your feet and hands nailed in the name of a partial re-enactment that is neither required or rewarded.

And the Angels fitted at a crucifixion scene is type awesome.

If someone else were there in a New Jersey NHL jersey...
