Thanks but I couldn't do that for $20. This isn't a picture frame it's a 3 inch deep shadow box frame with custom suede matting. Shadow boxes can get up to $300 depending on the size and quality.

People think this stuff runs cheap and is easy to do, but it's not.

Go to Hobby Lobby for a shadow box jersey frame. When they run their 50% off frames (which is every other week almost) they are 40-50 bucks. I would never buy a frame from Michaels or a place like that, so overpriced. I priced these out when framing things for Man Land

I was at Michaels like 2 weeks ago and they had all frames 40-50% off.

They had shadow boxed frames but they only had wood and I wanted a black frame.

Wow you guys are harsh. Those frame aren't expensive just because of the frame. You have the materials used on the inside and the type of glass used. I priced a Jordan 'wings' poster and they told me it was over 1k. Nice jersey man. Don't worry about all the negative stuff. Just do you

Due to the huge oversize nature of that poster.
I think its either 23/24 x 72 or something like that.
Which means most shops don't carry glass that big, you wouldn't want to put glass on something this big anyways
So your only option is acrylic
Those acrylic sheets come in 48x96 size sheets and usually aren't cheap.
I've seen a few of those jordan wings posters end up costing around 300-400
Framed properly.... not cheap to where the acrylic falls out.
Usually metal frames are cheapest for that size art.
Gotta be carefull though because most metal frames will not work on it.
The frame has to have a large lip on it ( the part that covers the picture to hold it down )

As to the shadowbox.... #1 it looks nice, despite all the haters.
500 is an ok price.
I've done jerseys that ended up costing well over 1,000
All depends on what you do with it.
Also suede matboards usually cost 3x more than regular non-textured mat boards.
Aaron brothers is one of the best places to go.
Yes they are on the expensive side, but they have these 25% coupons once In a while.
Michaels and aaron brothers are owned by the same people ( same company )
Everything is the same pretty much, same stuff used in the back to work on your piece,
Same vendor, same everything down to dresscode.
Only problem is sometimes you have these dummies working framing at the michaels stores.
They throw almost anyone back their.
Michaels is usually the absolute cheapest cost wise to get framing done.
Seen jerseys as low as 100+ to get framed.
All depends on what you do,
Mats, frame, glass, acrylic, size, all factor into the price.
On a basketball jersey what you did by folding the bottom of the jersey in, is a great
Way to save money.... the long size of the jersey= a bigger overall size which equals=
More money for you....

The only problem I have with your order is the uneven mat margins.
The top and the bottom show more than the sides.
Usually this is typical when putting something into a ready made frame ( off the shelf )
Aka not a custom frame.
The average turnaround at most frame shops is 2 weeks..
Although again aaron brothers is my favorite.
Which is 2 weeks.
Your uneven mat margins could've been fixed by showing a tad bit more of the jersey
On the bottom.
Jerseys like shown above are usually sewn down to a matboard.
Suedes hide the sewing the best, especially the black one.

Could one fold up the jersey and slap it in a frame off the shelf?
Sure if you don't give a sh** about it.
Trust me it will be ruined shortly after..

Custom framing is not cheap....
But well worth it.

Also, michaels is the cheapest you will probably find around.
They ALWAYS have sales going on in custom framing.
The best one they offer is 60% off your entire order.
They also match competitors coupons up to 60%
50% off the order is the default sale, aka the one they always have.
The color options ( mats ) are plenty........ nice school/team colors also.
Frame choices are decent also.

Personally again, I'm an Aaron brothers fan more though.
But they will cost a lot more.

But for most people michaels is a great option.
Just go into your local store and ask q's and chop it up with them.
