Da 5 Bloods - A Spike Lee Film - June 12th On Netflix

Loved it.

I want to watch it a few more times, just because I know those representations of the Vietnamese and the French were there for a very deliberate reason. The story feels like an allegory for life in America as a black man. I didn’t like the hat at first, but it’s huge in what it represents and how it’s threaded throughout the story.

Delroy Lindo. :pimp:

I saw Giancarlo Esposito was credited, but I don’t remember seeing him. Anyone know where I missed him?

This was a great movie. Had my interest from the beginning to the end. Like how each Vet had a different situation going on (one was broke, one was addicted to pain pills, the other was dealing with his demons). Wish Chadwick would have had more screen time.

Spike is 2 for 2
