Yo what stations do you guys listen to and how do you feel about the radio in dc?

I feel like in NY the radio is everything, and the stations play a lot of ny artist ( granted their a lot of NY rappers). But they also have good interviews,same with Atlanta.

I honestly feel like DC radio could be a lot better and put on for their artist more, I mean I have heard more Drake songs off one mixtape then Wale songs fromlike 5 mixtapes.

I'm from 757, and radio down there is a lot better than DC. I figured the HU station would play more hip hop.

93.9, 95.5, 92.3 play the same thing every 30 min..I just listen to my ipod or CD's..102.3 is always a classic station to me..

I'm anti-DC radio, except for the R&B stations.

So my iPod's always playing.

Corporate changed urban radio in the 90s, and D.C. seems to have gotten "hit" the hardest IMO, politics and all.

Minus the "in house" local talent that was kept after recent cuts, all the playlists are the same from D.C. to NYC.

Last time I was in 757, bammas were playing ATCQ 15 minute mix at 5'oclock on Friday on 103 Jamz.

I never was so happy to be stuck in HRT traffic.

I actually love NYC Radio but I love getting CDs from down on the AVE cause I know its not even on the Radio in NYC or anywhere else yet.. for at least 5 or 6more months..

Russ Parr in the morning is pure comedy, growing up I listened to Russ Parr but then on thursdays Donnie Simpson would drop that new chris paul ******* song

I swear i thought Russ Parr was only in DC, then i was in like philly one day and heard him and was like WHATTTTTTTT? this was when he was with Oiliviafoxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

edit: i guess my main problem is DC radio has the ability to be good but i feel like they fail, Wale's BTTF drops on friday lets see how much air time hegets

I can't stand DC radio. I usually just tune in to ESPN Radio if I don't have my iPod.

I listen to The Junkies and Big O and Dukes pretty much all day at work on WJFK 1067. I'm a bit of a talk radio nerd. Then I'll catch up on the CiphaSounds and Rosenberg show on Hot 97 from NYC. On Fridays I'll check out the "wrong songs" mix on 93.9 and then the old skool mix on the way home.Other then that, commercial radio has nothing to offer me.
