DC responds...Pro'verbs PSA

this is way too funny..."this aimed at Jigga, a legend in the game but H-O-V need to stay in his lane."
I'm from NY and moved out to the DMV three years ago; got to respect young boy reppin' his area. No comment on D. Stevenson.

hehehe

I'm a big fan of Jay and I had to say I was suprisingly IMPRESSED by this diss record.... It's def better than Jay's "blow the whistle"diss... Why Jay subliminally dissed DeShawn and DC in general (especially after just performing here) is beyond me... Lebron runnin to his daddy, lol!!

sucks that WALE cant respond.

im sure that would have been a real good situation to step out on..

^^No doubt Ian ... but this joint is solid ... good look for Pro'Verbs! If Jigga even listened to this he has to respect dude for going hard for his city!

He's one of my new fav rappers just for reppin' the DMV that way!!!

Old school from his actions ... and smart for PR sake as well!

Pro'verbs ... Holla at me man if you need a manager!

I'll make it happen for you playboy!

Nobody finds this song corny in the first place seeing how Jay never even said anything about DC to begin with??

Kenny, I see you angle...but you can't deny that this song is dope. A very solid dis record.

For all it's worth, why did Jay-z even DO a song about Deshaun!

the "run to Daddy" line and the "swimming in a city full of hooks" line was on point.

It wouldn't be wise for Wale to jump out there in this case. That's be bad for him.

But Pro'Verb has gotten some good attention off this track.

The song is aight at best, mostly because it will be forgotten about within a two week span. Also, I wouldn't necessarily call this a diss record, morelike an obvious plea for attention. A diss record is when you got actual beef with somebody, in someway, shape or form, this guy was just trying to cash on alittle bit of spotlight at the right time. I guess its working for him, I guess. The kid already said he likes Hov, so he already lost from the get go. Also, I think it would have been a bit more respectable from my standpoint if Wale was the one to respond to the record and not this guy. At least we know whoWale is, this guy we know nothing about, and for good reason. Like I said at first though, this whole episode is wack from the jump seeing how Jay NEVER saidanything about DC in the first place. If he did, somebody please let me know, I got a feeling I'll be waiting a long time before somebody responds back onthat one though.

Also, as this is being brought up in the music forum, the Jay Z track might now even have been directed to Deshawn Stevenson, just some food for thought. Bemad at Deshawn Stevenson anyway, he's the reasons the Wizards are about to lose the series to the Cavs. Thanks to him, the Wizards are about to bewatching the playoffs instead of playing in them.

How did you first "know" about Wale?

Exactly.

Give dude credit for "bringing it" atleast -- He's not at a point (like Wale now) where he can't do things like this if he honestly wants to. You gotta know your role.

Joint doesn't sound too politically incorrect, nothing disrespectful, no overly written metaphors, no "My man is soooo Hot" advertisements fromall his hood friends, no youtubes, no online interviews, stayed within his range.

Represented.

Thanks.

Keep pushing.

Thank God they played it before tonight though.

Series ova!

Why do you have to "know" an artist to appreciate them? That defeats the purpose of an artist coming up. But big ups to the homie he def. ripped itnow lets just hope the wizards at least pull through to make it back home

Niketalk and the radio, not by some cheap response to a "so called" diss. I'll give dude credit for his skills on the mic though, he did histhing, I guess.

Even still, like I stated, can somebody, ANYBODY tell me or show me how Jay even dissed DC?? This guy is just as bad as Bush for making up stuff that ainteven there. Bush......."Iraq has Weapons of Mass Destruction"...........Pro'Fraud........"I did the track cause Jay Z dissed DC". Twolies back to back, SMH. I do agree with you that the series is over though, at least we know which club Deshawn Stevenson and Co. won't be spending theiroff-time at.

Cavs and Wiz are hating each other right now.. and when Lebron compared himself to Stevenson as HOV-Soulja Boy, that put their beef to another level.

So why did Jay-Z have to come in and make a track about Stevenson? He didnt, seems like LBJ begged him to try and poop on Stevenson and the Wiz.

and so this dude PROVERB def. was in the right defending DC, putting HOV out there for tryna defend LBJ(for no reason) and pooping on Lebron.
