No bale, no problem. Before he was casted people asked the same question. Heck, when people saw Heath was gonna be the joker nobody gave him a chance....

all i'm saying is that marvel studios/fox has been mashing up characters for a couple years now. and DC is now doing the same. I really don't like it but it is what it is. the comic world will never be the same

Liam McIntyre has been on twitter expressing his interest.

Personally, I could see it...Spartacus as Batman 8). Despite the big niche group Spartacus had. He can get the big break he deserves playing Batman.

EDIT: What's the deal with Fanboys hoping for Jon Hamm? He's plastered all of the comment sections and forums on other comic sites...I guess I can see it...

I think we should see our first black Batman in this movie.

Jon Hamm looks too old for a fresh/ new Batman. He'd be a great Bruce Wayne though.

this is why superman as a movie will never be successful. If he can beat batman that easily, why can't he put away any other enemy?

^ I thought he was great as Spartacus, especially during its final run. He can add a different grit than we saw in the other Batman actors, but I digress.

If we eventually see Lex Luthor. I'm campaigning for Michael C. Hall. I'm convinced he can play a menacing, yet empowered Lex.

So, has it been confirmed that Batman will be playing a major role?  I was thinking at the end of the movie Bruce Wayne would have a little cameo, which lead to a Batman Superman third movie.  They gotta let Superman battle one more villain alone and then bring in Batman...

Stop it

No need for a black Batman. There was never a black Batman in the comics, doesn't need to be a black Batman now. I'm black and I would be PISSED if I saw a black Batman.

[IMG] at Nick Cannon being the next Batman. Speaking of black characters, I don't know if you guys remember, but Marlon Wayans was a lock to play Robin alongside George Clooney.

Idris' name comes up for every cool role. People want him to be the new Bond, now black Batman, probably Wonder Woman in the future.

Hollywood has no problem recasting other ethnic characters as white characters... I don't see what's the harm in casting the first black Batman would be...

It would be really cool, and refreshing IMO...

Obviously I was kidding about Nick Cannon... In case sarcasm detectors are malfunctioning.

Amy Adams is a pretty big name actress... multiple Oscar nominations, well-respected, etc.. Whether or not she was a good Lois is another story (with most siding against her portrayal), but it's not like she's some nobody off the street.

As for "No Bale = no go" or whatever, people need to relax. They'll announce the choice and most people will hate it... until we see the first trailer and people will lose their minds. Bale did not give us the definitive, greatest of all-time Batman/Bruce Wayne performance. He just didn't. I liked his Bruce Wayne, but he wasn't perfect. Nor did Nolan create an untouchable trilogy of Batman movies that will never be topped. TDK is an all-time classic, with the really good Begins and satisfying TDKR (despite it's flaws), they were an incredible series of movies that I love... but it's not the only interpretation of Batman.

I'm cautiously excited about it. It's basically a coin flip. Either it'll be a mess or it will all work perfectly and be brilliant.
