I wanted World's Finest, just not as a MoS 2 movie. WB/DC getting desperate imo.

 

Idk if they are desperate but I think they are trying to do too many things at once

 

Yeah, that's why I don't get the Dark Knight Returns quote they played. Bats has no reason to say that to some alien he just met. In TDKR Bruce and Clark were enemies, respected allies, teammates, and then friends before they parted ways on shaky terms.

If they just meet and Bats is gunning for him and has the means to Supes should end up crippled,with some kryptonite in his spine.

Honestly, I would LOVE a Batman/Superman movie, but not in a movie focused on Superman, especially in one sequel. The fact that they're already throwing Batman in this early shows how much confidence Hollywood has on Superman in movies.

 

I guess this is the official, or pre-official, Batman x Superman movie thread, so I'll just repost what I shared earlier in the MoS thread concerning the Bats appearance in the MoS sequel:

So yeah, that's my lil imaginative take on it.

Y'all gotta remember that these studios are trying to bank as much money from these movies as they can. WB & DC gain absolutely nothing by rushing these projects. Why would they give us the Batman x Superman movie we all want (WF or prequel to JL) so soon when they can build the hype exactly as they did at Comic Con and by alluding to it via other projects? Will we see it eventually, sure. But now, best believe they're just gonna try and eat good off the MoS franchise, the Batman franchise, Flash, etc.

They'll eventually, obviously, get to the legitimate JL movie, but not now or anytime soon. So as far as this Batman cameo in the MoS sequel, I think it'll more than likely be a Bruce Wayne extended cameo. I just don't see a suited up Bats teaming up and fighting side by side with Supes like what was implied.

What about an up and comer like Benedict Cumberbatch as the new Batman? Dude was money as Khan in Star Trek. Or what about even Michael Fassbender? I feel like foreign actors have a more interesting interpretation of superheroes

 

WB's problem is that they focus too much/only on Batman and Superman . . . we should have gotten a Flash movie by now

Marvel is winning right now because every character has or is getting a movie . . . Aside from GL, DC has focused on two franchises the last 20 years

have a cameo appearance by Yao Ming at a banquet and the international sales should be thru the roof

but really ive been most intrigued by how they r gonna portray Flashes powers. i was a fan of the tv show as a kid.

was reading up on his powers and dude can vibrate thru stuff. that would be cool to see, or r they just gonna have him be fast like Faora

oh and id support fassbender as bruce

Fassbender would be a good Batman
But I think he is still tied to Marvel as Magneto tho
But Kobe is bigger then Yao Ming in Asia tho lol

My goodness, DC is just throwing darts at this point.

 

Superman films suck for the most part anyway 

 

Cavill, Adams, Lane and Fishburne are confirmed to reprise their roles, while a new actor will be chosen to play Batman. According to Snyder, the film will take inspiration from the comic The Dark Knight Returns.

Morgan Edge should make an appearance. Maybe even be the main villian in a swerve. Cast Luthor have him take over Intergang in Morgan's failure. Its obvious all paths are leading Darkseid.

 

@ SuperAntigen. If the MOS sequel with Batman's name in the title amounted to that one detailed scene I'd expect a riot. You put Batman's name in the title, hype up all this Dark Knight Returns and the dark knight doesn't even show up? I'd expect record losses after opening day.

 

I'm more interested in the sequel having a cool, badass villain than having Batman in it. How they insert Batman in the story better make sense.

Not really. Snyder did mention that the quote from "TDKR" doesn't mean they'd use the same storyline. Just used the quote to make the intro that Bats is in the sequel. And to make the announcement much more awesome of course.
