Detroit is a dump and probably can't be saved..

but he's not broke by any means....take my word for it..

He may have done some boneheaded stuff but he tried to help the city out.  Became the sports director of the PSL here and The city screwed him because the city doesn't pay people on time.  Good dude but where did all the other cash go?..

Can't knock him for trying. He should have planned longer. Good luck to him though.

This is why you make business decisions with your head, not your heart. Stupid for trying to invest in anything related to the city of Detroit.

Yep.  Charles Barkley said with a straight face and no nonsense, that D.C. could have been better than him, and could have been the best PF ever.  D.C.'s skill set was bananas.  That's one of the reasons why he lasted until 2006.

damn ... trying to do good ... but in the wrong city

anywho, what happens to all these athletes once they go bankrupt?

It always amazes me that these athletes who most likely took nothing related to business or economics in the 1 or 2 years they were at college think they can just throw their money around and expect it to work magic. whether you have a dollar for 1 million dollars, it takes effort to make that money work for you. some of these dudes need to just chill and invest in safe stocks that will give them a decent return. invest a few million into the right stocks and you can live comfortably off the interest for the rest of your life, no need to get all donald trump on em with developing stuff.
