I was thinking the more logical place for them to have put the seal would have been on the back of the shoe where the circle/globe with the Jumpman logo is.  It's already a circle, and would have looked better if it was in red anyway, so they might as well have made it the seal.  Not to mention if it it's actually textured like a seal, then it again would have worked better on the back.
