Maybe it's just a bad pic (probably not though), but that rhodium metal looks ugly.. Why are people willing to pay for stuff just cause it's rare?..It's still ugly. A couple of things:

2) Obama isn't dumb enough to be spending money on a ring right now given the economic / political climate. I think they'll play it very safe and notdo anything that can be considered remotely lavish.
