I liked Watch the Throne, but MCHG was a Frisbee.

I'm not really interested in hearing about him dealing with fame/wealth anymore, nor am I interested in his dope-boy fables...if he could make his subject matter a little less stale I'd be interested in new music.

MCHG didn't have ANY bad songs. NOT ONE.

I gave it a 4.5/5 personally.

the only thing that held it back was the fact that there was a lil too much filler for it to be a str8 classic.

if that album woulda been scaled back to maybe 12-13 tracks, classic EASILY. album was a lil too lengthy and every song didn't have a purpose.

i'll put it like this, right now in 2015 I def don't think of kingdom come the same way I did when it first released. MCHG may be the same way for some of you. give it time listen again with a CLEAR NON-BIASED mindset.

for jay to have been the age he was and in the financial position I assume he's in, that album was VERY strong. dude been on top of hip-hop for years and he really had nothing else to prove to anyone besides himself for that album.

I viewed MCHG as a comeback album kinda bc BP3 was on the weak side and WTT had too much kanye.

he def brought be back as a fan bc I wrote him off a year or 2 after AG.

snoop is only ONE of the vets I was referring to.

there is another vet I had in mind when I wrote that and he is by most considered to be the GOAT. his last album if you ask me was ok as far as the quality of music but it didn't appeal to me @ all. just wasn't hittin like I thought it should have been.

instead of sayin the album was wack/garbage etc. I just go the route of "its not for me".

anyway, even though his latest effort didn't do it for me, I never thought it was time for him to fade away.

the amount of hate jay gets is pretty much like reverse acknowledgement that he has owned rap for YEARS.

I'm conflicted cause I wan't him to continue so he can prove his longevity. If he can get into BP3 mode I'll be glad. He should continue dropping singles like Holy Grail but please don't ever make another MCHG. Such an uninspired album it makes me sick and hype didn't justify it one bit. Kanye ain't where he used to be so Jay is gonna need help from someone else. MCHG proved he needs some one to guide him through making an album. Pharrell could do it but his beats don't work well with Jay anymore. He's really in a bad situation right now.

I would still be a Jay fan today if he retired after The Blueprint. Only released one good album since and that was American Gangster and I think that album is overrated.

Snoop Dogg is absolute trash. Should disappear from Earth. Him and Jay are making awful music.

Em should have retired after Relapse. That would have been a nice album to go out on.

NaS' Life Is Good was a great album. I think a lot of men can learn from that album, some real **** on there after that boring *** Untitled album. I would have liked for Nas to retire after LIG. Hopefully his next is his last.

I liked GFK and Rae but I don't want to hear them anymore. Music isn't bad but I've heard so much from them, no desire to hear anymore. This kind of goes back to the thread about old rappers.

The Lox can still rap but I don't want to hear them anymore.
