i don't see why the U.S. doesn't explore more of the oceans, which is in our planet rather than reaching for something that may never happen, just my opinion.
 
Aren't they planning to send people to Mars and to never return by like 2023 or 25

if in 50 or 60 years, this government or government funded organizations are still spouting that bs about tons of fuel needed to travel to and from mars, then NO. if they decide to share with us peasants their recovery of ancient jump gates or their collaboration with non-humans to create jump gates, then YES.
