I've always wondered this - It never hurts to have a dermatologist check out your skin every so often but since it's not life threatening - doesinsurance cover visits to a doctor that will imporve aesthetics?

Thanks

My insurance does... It depends on your plan.... a Dermatologist would classify as a specialist so you may have to get a referral to go see one. But mostlikely you insurance will cover you.

Rarely. Dermatologists are considered cosmetic doctors.

My parent's plan covers it. Most dermatologists don't accept insurance.

Mine does as long as I get a referral. It depends entirely on your plan though.

Check-ups, yes usually

Proceedures, more than likely a big emphatic NO for the reasons listed above.

It depends on the procedure though. Of course they not goin to do botox on your face to get rid of wrinkles but if it is something that you may need due tosome type of medical problem I believe they will cover it.

yeah.

If its something like you want your skin bleached or something, no. but if its medically relevant to your success as human being simply living...then yes...
