Just curious, are there any QB's that have played in 3 Super Bowls and not got in the HOF?

It's just a thought since Jim Kelly is in the Hall and never won one.

I wouldn't say that they did, was just saying someone can argue either way I meant. Just like I don't say it was the colts D that was reason they won their SB.

IMO you need to have an offense that can outscore Brady and their offense in order to beat them. 17 and 21 aren't typical enough points to outscore the Patriots unless of course your defense can slow them down/stop them. And well I pretty sure I'm just reconfirming what everyone already knows anyways, that teams wins SBs.... and once upon a time when I was eleven I knew what that was like for my team to................ [IMG] meh, I'm done with this thread and depressing myself. CONGRATS ELI, Well Done. You don't play for the eagles so your allowed to win some.

I agree.  We should let it play out.  (But I still think Eli is already a lock [IMG])

And as for Plunkett, he had worse stats than Eli, spent a large part of his career as a backup, and still probably deserves to be in himself.

Punkett?! [IMG]  i swear man i need to stop coming into this thread and just enjoy the giants win......are you aware that punkett threw more ints than TDs in the playoffs.......he also achieved that amazing feat in the reg season........most of Punkett's seasons he threw more int's than TDs......Eli only did that during his rookie year.........now eli is punkett i guess that better than being called dilfer.......i hope Punkett doesnt really think he is a HOFer
Phillip Rivers!!! [IMG] did someone really say Rivers is better than Eli!!!!  before Eli out played brady 4 years ago in the super bowl the pats beat the chargers, rivers had his worst playoff game.....how/why?  Eli Manning had more TDs in the playoffs this year than Rivers has in his playoff career........some how Eli with 4 more playoff games has less ints than Rivers!!!!.......some how Rivers QB rating is 15 points lower in the playoffs than regs season....how/why??.......when you name a QB that is better than Eli you better have damn good reason why his playoff career is short of his reg season career
and you have the nerve to say if rivers was on the giants they would have had better season! who has played in an easier division than the chargers!!!!......and in perfect weather!!! if you think playing in a dome or fair weather city doesnt impact stats..... you're well we already know your a lacking in the sports knowledge

oh FYI NFC east has produced 14 playoff teams since 2005......AFC west half that number[IMG] year in year out NFC east is the hardest division.......only one team in the NFC east since 2005 has NOT had a losing season that team is your world champion NY Football GIANTS lead by Eli Manning who has never missed a game and once lead his team to a one seed but his star WR shot himself and that really hurt the team....but hey stuff happens.........oh since 2005 the raiders have not made the playoffs nor have they had a winning season on the other hand the worst team in the NFC east has made the playoffs twice and was the only team that can say they beat the world champions twice......

If Eli did allow himself to stay with the franchise that leads the NFL in holdouts in the last 15 years he would not be 0-2 vs the pats and wouldnt have a QB 15 points lower in the playoffs than reg season which is straight pathetic

since 2005 the chargers have had an above avg defense in all but one season(giants all but 3 seasons), in fact 2011 they had the best defense yet somehow they didnt make the playoffs playing in the easiest division in the AFC and in that same year giants missed the playoffs winning 10 games.......if that giants team played in the AFC west they avg 10 wins a year since 2005....thats not what ifs that a fact

Rivers[IMG]poor Rivers if only he had played on the great giants teams[IMG]

most should agree that Eli is well on his way to the hall of fame.....I'm saying he will be......if i told you he would play at least 8 more seasons wont you agree?(if you took all his games from week 17 in the 07 season until now i'll bet his QB rating is at least 90) if i told he decided to retire tomorrow then most would say no......

eli ******* sucks and it's a travesty my team twice wilted under eli's defense and gave that putz two rings. i will eternally apologize the the NFL for that and he will forever be a piss stain on the list of HOF QBs because of those two rings. apologies to the rest of you for letting this occur.

    Nah

No one feels sorry for the Patriots losing in the super bowl

Pretty sure everyone was happy about it and Eli was the only one who did it

i never said anyone should feel sorry for us.

everyone cheered it at the time but now realizes that a C grade QB will be in the HOF. basically killing the honor and credibility that comes with a HOF induction. flacco should get in too, now.

Did Brad Johnson win 2 super bowls with 8 wins turning the ball over once?
Does Brad Johnson has nearly as many NFL starts in his career?
Where does Eli rank in 4th Quarter come from behind wins? why is that stat talked about all around the league during every 4th Quarter and not TD % are those announcers just not as smart as you?
How many QBs would lead the league in ints but get benched by their team? How many was Luck on pace for before he missed rest of the season.

why are you comparing Eli to Brad Johnson and not hall of fame QB Brett Farve? is it hate? or just not educated in sports? you see men that get paid to talk sports wouldnt be stupid enough to compare Eli Manning who is the best QB in the NFC east by far over his career to Brad Johnson. However, they get paid to talk football you have the voice to do so for free on a message board.

number of pro bowl Oline in eli's entire career? 0
guy has no pro bowl olinemen and worst rushing attack in all of football. Find me HOF QBs that had pro bowl years in which they had not one pro bowl oline and bottom 3 in rushing in the entire league. just one other please.

talk all you want about his TOs thats fine but you can't say he wasnt the largest part of winning 2 super bowls then. Because he didnt turn the ball over!

i really think dallas fans are stupid enough to believe that dak would have 4 ints on the giants and eli would have 15 on the cowboys. must be something in the water they are drinking.

oh and i guess reg season QB rating is more important than playoff QB rating....how did that work out for Romo, Peyton Manning, and many HOF QBs. but nooooooo int % during reg season is more important than playoff QB rating got ya. i feel educated now., i feel smarter, i feel like this valuable intel needs to get into the hands of the men who vote for HOF, the men who get paid to know football as they might make a huge mistake in putting in Eli Manning in the HOF

in Giants Cowboys history(since i was born) only 2 elimination games played. Eli Manning's Giants won them both. you take Romo, Dak and Brad Johnson i'll take the QB that has broken your dreams and wrecked your winter for many years now.

Isnt Troy Aikman in the HOF? Is his reg season QB rating and playoff is lower than Eli Manning? How many HOF players did Troy play with? and again why are YOU comparing Eli to Brad Johnson. lets forget about comparing to him to your QB that has a lower reg season and playoff rating. that wouldnt make sense now would it

save your response for the pro message board hall of fame

You're defending Eli for throwing an high # of INTs by saying "atleast he didn't get benched"? LOL. Giants fans...

You sure did type a lot, but not a lot of stats though. I wonder why...

How many did he have on that D-Line though?

To Romo? You sure you want to compare that?

Romo Vs Eli isn't even a comparison. Congrats on the 2 wins riding that defense. That's why he gets compared to the Dilfers and the Johnson's when it comes to Super Bowl victories because he doesn't stack up vs. other QBs in the reg season. He's average. He's one of the worst QBs to win a Super Bowl and the stats prove it.

Comparing him to Romo is foolish. You should know that.

...but Giants fans will just yell rings. win % in game winning drives is in there for you too since that bothered you before. Romo ain't touching the HOF probably. But Eli is a 1st ballot huh? LOL. That's why you clowns only bring up these lifetime achievement regular season stats for Eli and walk away from any other argument. Congrats again. LOL.
