Giving up veganism was a big missed steak.

A vegan extremist website is taking ex-vegans to task for betraying the cause. Exvegans.com, a.k.a. “The Vegan Sell Out List,” shares names, descriptions and photographs of former vegans in an effort to publicly humiliate them for renouncing the meat and dairy-eschewing lifestyle.

“The spirits of the billions murdered have risen to deliver: The Vegan Sellout List – an online directory of those who have regressed from moral consistency to moral depravity,” the site proclaims. “Selling out veganism is a trend on the upswing, bringing with it swarms of haughty, nose-turning carnists uttering nonsensical buzzwords re: veganism being ‘privileged,’ or ‘trendy,’ critiquing themselves into ethical degeneracy and paleo-terrorism.”

An interactive map allows visitors to browse for ex-vegans by state. There are 16 entries for New York, most of them residing in Brooklyn or Manhattan.

Among the offenders, the site calls out Berlin Reed, 31, a former vegan who once belonged to an anarchist group. “Here we have yet another person hiding behind anarchism to justify their selfish behavior,” the entry reads. “No surprise he’s a part of the most shamed part of an already shamed subculture: The ‘anarchist people of color.’ Eye roll.”

Mr. Reed, author of the book “The Ethical Butcher,” was a vegan for three years and began eating meat after taking a job at a Brooklyn butcher shop that partnered with small local farms. He told the The New York Post  that he was not particularly alarmed by the public shaming.

“It’s just hilarious that someone would spend that much time shaming other people for lifestyle choices,” he said.

Another New Yorker, Andrea Beaman, 45, a former Top Chef competitor, was likewise taken to task for giving up her “non-violent ways” after realizing that carnivorism was a part of nature.

Ms. Beaman said  she wasn’t too surprised by the hateful diatribe.

“When I was a vegan, it was the most judgmental time of my life!”

These carnivores are dead meat!

A group of vegan extremists has launched a Web site meant to shame scores of “ex-vegans” — even posting the names and photos of the meat-munching traitors.

The The Vegan Sellout List, at exvegans.com, features a directory of former vegans, including plenty of New York City residents.

It says its mission is to hold responsible folks who eat animals and know better.

The site accuses the former non-meat-and-dairy eaters of once being vegans only to be trendy or to make friends.

“The spirits of the billions murdered have risen to deliver: The Vegan Sellout List,” the site declares.

“The Vegan Sellout List is our answer to . . . those who are aware of the suffering caused by meat, dairy, egg, fur and leather production, yet choose to look away while the animals suffer,” the site says, calling out “swarms of haughty, nose-turning carnists.”

One of those so-called carnists is Berlin Reed, 31, a vegan-turned-butcher who was inspired to eat meat after working at a Brooklyn-based food shop that partners with small local farms.

The site features a photo of Reed, noting he’s an ex- vegan who once belonged to an anarchist organization.

“Here we have yet another person hiding behind anarchism to justify their selfish behavior,” the site seethes.

But Reed’s laughing it off.

“It’s just hilarious that someone would spend that much time shaming other people for lifestyle choices,” said Reed, author of “The Ethical Butcher.”

“It’s kind of amazing to me that you’d care so much.”

Reed, who was a vegan for three years, said he still has vegan-boosting tattoos and even refused to kiss meat-eaters at one point in his life. Then he applied for a cheese-monger job at The Greene Grape in Fort Greene, but instead landed the butcher gig.

He soon began working with small local farms, and after learning not all farms treat animals inhumanely, his thoughts began to shift.

“I thought, ‘If I want to see change, I should be part of something I want to see happen, instead of something I don’t,’ ” he said. She laughed and added, “Maybe it was the B12 deficiency?”

He’s not the only New York-bred foodie on the sellout list.

The site also accuses former “Top Chef” contender Andrea Beaman, 45, of being a selfish ex-vegan.

But Beaman — who dropped veganism after it made her sick — said she isn’t offended.

“It made me giggle,” said the Upper East Side resident.

But she said she actually understands the mentality.

“When I was a vegan, it was the most judgmental time of my life!” she said.

You have to keep refreshing the site. Lots of traffic probably.

I actually like the idea of calling ex-vegans out if their reasoning is dumb. Like the Top Chef girl, "carnivorism is part of nature." Humans are not carnivores, lions are. You're not a lion. You don't take bites out of live flesh. You need fire, fork, bbq sauce, butcher, etc. Find a different reason so you don't get called out.

Natalie Portman was supposedly a vegan until she became pregnant. She started getting cravings for pastries and said it was too hard to find them without eggs and dairy. Complete nonsense if you live in NYC. There's vegan cookies, pies, scones, you name it. Own your choices! If you don't want to be a vegan anymore then just say, "Tick off. I want pastrami again." Take responsibility for your actions instead of making excuses to justify your new position so others won't think you're less intelligent.

There is some responsiblity that comes with being a celebrity vegan. If you're a regular person, no one should care or even know in the first place. You owe nothing. But if you're gonna put yourself out there and try to represent for the movement, then you'd better be prepared for the backlash should you change your stance. If you put in work you can get it right back. Equality.

Like this gal from the site:

She was a gluten-free vegan for 5 YEARS and used to be an inspiration to her young vegan listeners and radio fans. Then, one day, she suddenly decided that she enjoys MURDERING INNOCENT ANIMALS and devouring their flesh more than being a role-model. Now she parades around town in her yoga pants, eating entire packages of bacon on every street corner as a middle finger to honest vegans everywhere. Psh, Sell-out.

Now obviously this is a bit one-sided as we don't know her true reasoning, but if you're gonna inspire people on the radio for five years then decide one day to hang up your birkenstocks.... you better have that clip full! You guys talk crap about vegans but it is a way of life that means a lot to them. There are people that care deeply about the planet and the welfare of sentient creatures who won't stand for masqueraders that think veganism is a hobby.

, You have a different opinion then them? Its a wrap

Veganism= first world luxury

I aint never met a vegan in the provinces lol.

More animal flesh for me.

I was vegan for 2 years until the thirst for chicken wings came haunting me! Although I haven't eaten red meat or pork in over 5 years, I still can't give up chicken, turkey and fish! I don't eat it all that often (real meat) as I love vegan food but the vegan desserts are the best!

gonna show my wife this site as she has been vegan for 6 years now and she'll probably submit my betrayal to this site!
