FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Is it normal to discard the pepper?
I would eat the pepper.

I've had a "bread bowl" once and that was it.
You get a few pieces from the top to dip but when you're done with the soup you're just left with a bunch of soggy bread.

Banh mi for lunch

Hate when they build the sandwich like this

Yeah but if I have to sear them in a pan first I might as well cook all of it in the pan and make some kinda stir fry.

Still trying to eat mostly healthy. Tonight I'm making cauliflower leek soup that I tweaked a little bit to add some flavor. Serving with chopped chives and grated pecorino romano.

Wait do you not cook the pepper or something?

I'm not about to lose my **** over a thrown-out pepper, but the pepper should be soft after cooking.

Update: everything's over and done with. Didn't take pics because I've never met a bowl of soup that was photogenic, but I'll be damned if that wasn't amazing. Licked the bowl clean and am looking forward to leftovers.

Will post the recipe if anyone actually cares.
