From where? Looking for more decent Mexican place in the Bay. Been going to Island Taqueria in Alameda a lot.
i miss mexicali rose
Went once. Didn’t like it. Felt like it was more for the after clubbing crowd. And they got alcohol in their system making it tastes better than it actually is.
but ur entitled to ur opinion
It's okay, pretty standard Mexican restaurant. Slightly irritated that they serve store bought Salsa that comes in bottles.
Damn they gave you some of this?
I like this place. I told @nawghtyhare 3-4 years ago and I think I told you about a year ago. Ingredients taste fresh and their items are unique.
I would be too. Every taqueria should have their own in house salsa. Makes you wonder what else they slack off on.
Ahh yea you did. Inside the Swans Market. Will make an attempt to go this Saturday evening.
How long did it take for you to get your order? That’s my only complaint is they are made to order
Not long at all.
My Popeyes knows me by my first name.
Why's that a complaint? You'd rather they be sitting for hours?
it was 15 minutes. For 2 sandwiches. I didn’t order a family meal.
What did you think of the sandwiches
Your review was spot on.
Yeah a little disappointing. It wasn't cheap either, that plate costs $14-15.
My favorite are the shrimp tacos, but it is only served as a special on Friday's.
Was just looking through the pics on Yelp. The Tortas look good too but it seems like they don’t offer burritos. Maybe I’ll check it out Friday night instead of Saturday and order the shrimp tacos if that is what you recommend. The shrimps look big.
I like just about every item there. But I should point out that the food is not the richest in flavor and people are divided over this. Some love it and others hate it for this reason. But it is made this way to not mask the fresh ingredients.
Thanks for the heads up. Most of my meals are pretty simple and straight forward. As long as this place is fresh and brings out the authenticity of their food, I should be happy.
Try the taqueria across the street in the Mexican store El Rancho
You’re questioning the authenticity of this stuff?
