For Those Who Want "Outside-Of-The-Box" Professions: What's Your "Plan B?"

As somebody who loves writing and making music, I'd like to be a columnist, blogger, or even an author someday.  And as somebody who loves music, I'd like to write and produce full-time someday.  For everybody out there who also has aspirations of getting jobs that differ from the norm, what "Plan B" do you have lined up if things aren't moving as fast (or in the direction) as you'd like?
