Yea makes the Jim chase an even odder choice considering a good number of people aren't familiar with it. I think on a future Halloween episode Jim is talking about how he doesn't really dress up for Halloween and there's a montage of his previous costumes and it includes that one but it definitely seems out of place since it only aired that one time.

Chases in general have gotten terribly lazy. Look at the chases from all the announcements today:
- Gomez Addams with a sword versus no sword
- Facebook Jim Halpert
- Vanna White in red dress as opposed to silver dress
- Younger Alex Trebek vs older
- Julia Roberts with blonde wig from Pretty Woman
- Ty Webb with blindfold from Caddyshack

they definitely put more effort into retailer exclusives
