Loved both but imma go with GRODT.
College Dropout had too many stupid skits and some songs were
indifferent.gif


GRODT literally had no weak track + 50 was a HIT MACHINE and production was crazy.
But i still love College Dropout

These are about as different as albums as you can get.

Both are amazing albums in different aspects.

Just agree they're both great albums and don't worry which one is better.

Although CD was more similar to how 80% of its listeners lived.

I'd go with College Dropout. If can set off a party with Get Rich Or Die Trying. But as far as quality of albums go? I'd give it to College Dropout. Hip Hop needed that facelift on a mainstream level. After that album you started to see more quality rappers get signed and actually drop albums. You started to see Lupe get a release date. You started to see Mos and Kweli getting release dates.

And plus CD was just more real. Anybody can relate to that album. Lame, geek, gangsta, pimp whatever. 'Ye went into all aspects of life on that album. Fif pretty much had a gimmick and ran with it throughout and it worked. I F with Get Rich or Die Trying. But its appeal is mainly from the hooks and production. 'Ye had something to see between his hooks and production.

what makes them so different... its all meaningless club music for the most part...
 
college dropout and its not even close imo.....i loved grodt when it came out but that cd has not stood the test of time to me....i know many will disagree.. but i cant really bump that cd anymore....i could still bump college dropout everyday
