Ghost Towns, Vol. Centralia

Anyone live near any ghost towns or visited ghost towns??

Centralia is about 35-40 minutes from my house:

supposedly Centralia was inspiration from Silent Hill

I think the one guy interviewed in the video I posted said there was about 10 residents...I think there's less now

People that used to reside there were initially told that if they didn't take the money offered by the government they would not receive another offer...I talked to a guy I know that is from the coal region and he believes they were offered money again to try and get as many residents as they can to relocate

Centralia is no longer recognized by the government...no zip code or anything

There are still road signs for Centralia when approaching town

When you go there it's mostly kids and people walking around, riding dirt bikes, riding ATV's, drinking a beer or two, and probably looking for somewhere to smoke a bowl
