Glue wearing off on soles. What type of glue should I use?

Okay I have a pair of Nike running shoes. Ive had them for a while now but the glue on the sole is starting to wear away. I know I could easily buy a new pair but you know how it is having that pair youve worked in and fits like a glove. 
So my question is does anyone know of a good replacement glue that would work?
